South African rapper Mochen has officially released his long-awaited debut album, NORTH Vol.1: The Prophecy, marking a major milestone in his fast-rising career and further cementing his place among the new generation of South African hip-hop voice.

The project arrives after months of anticipation and social media teasers, with fans eager to hear the full body of work from the Pretoria North lyricist. Packed with heavyweight collaborations and rooted storytelling, the album reflects Mochen’s vision, identity, and hunger to elevate his sound to a larger stage.

The 14-track project features an impressive lineup of South African stars including Thato Saul, Pabi Cooper, K.Keed, DJ Sliqe, Wordz, The Big Hash, Loatinover Pounds, Focalistic, 25K, and MashBeatz.

The rapper revealed the meaning of the Album tittle N.O.R.T.H which stands for “No Oaths. Rewritten. TIES. Held,” symbolizing loyalty, brotherhood, growth, and the rebuilding of relationships through music. The album serves as both a personal statement and a bold declaration from Pretoria’s North Side.

Standout tracks like Black Market, Pure Energy, and Pitori vs Pitori showcase Mochen’s sharp lyricism, street-rooted storytelling, and evolving sonic direction. The album balances introspective moments with energetic anthems, giving listeners a deeper look into his journey and artistic growth. Engineered by FEZIEKK, the album also features additional vocal contributions from N.Jabulo and Khalee G, adding texture and depth to the overall soundscape.

Over the past few years, Mochen has steadily built momentum within the South African hip-hop scene through collaborations, performances, and a consistent rollout of music that blends local culture with modern rap influences. With NORTH Vol.1: The Prophecy, he now steps into a defining chapter of his career — one that could position him among the continent’s most exciting emerging rap acts.
