Ghanaian artist D.H has just released ‘FACE ME’, the latest single from his forthcoming EP ‘HANI WO YA’. The single arrives in the middle of a breakout year: more than 750,000 streams across platforms in 2026 alone alongside 36,000 monthly listeners and a run of viral and semi-viral moments across TikTok. ‘FACE ME’ is track five of eight on the project.
Moving between Accra and London, D.H has built a sound that bridges Afrobeats and trap, a blend rarely executed at this level from an artist his age. ‘HANI WO YA’ “Let’s go” in Ga, D.H’s mother tongue draws on his dual upbringing, the momentum he has gathered since the start of the year, and a renewed admiration of nature that runs through the project’s artwork and visuals.
“‘HANI WO YA’ means ‘let’s go’ in Ga. The EP holds everything I’ve grown into between my first bit of traction earlier this year and now. I’m in go mode now, more than ever and being outside more reminded me that the point is to keep exploring. I’m ready to move, and I hope my audience is ready to move with me. Hani wo ya, together.”
That momentum is mirrored in the playlisting. D.H currently features on Apple Music’s ‘Ghana Bounce’, ‘Africa Rising’ and ‘African Hip-Hop’, following earlier runs on ‘New in Hip-Hop’ and ‘New Music Daily’, and sits across Audiomack’s ‘Hometown Heroes: Ghana’ and ‘Discover: Afro Hip Hop’. ‘HANI WO YA’ also includes a collaboration with Ayjaybobo; one of the most talked-about young names in West African music, alongside a surprise feature from a well-established Ghanaian star, revealed closer to release.
With ‘FACE ME’ out now and ‘HANI WO YA’ arriving 9 July, D.H is, by his own account, in go mode and inviting listeners along for the journey.
